Hi,
Anyone know of a higher screen for the Tuono V4 ?

I'm also looking for something a bit higher. 2 reasons:-
Keep a little more windblast off the rider. Just to ease longer distance fast riding.
Provide enough coverage to mount a sat nav above the clocks. Ideal place to my mind. Behind the screen so protected from the elements, yet nice and high so easy to see and read and also not be obscured by a tank bag.
Not found anything so far:-(
Mind you, maybe I could indeed modify a Gold Wing screen. Must go see if I have one lying around.![]()
You just get used to the wind blast, and quickly build up neck/shoulder/arm muscles that cope with it ... I can happily run at up to around 100 for as long as it takes, with bursts up to jail able speeds; when I got my first Tuono, I found I was struggling with anything much over 80
I found that the left side of the bars is fine, as long as you aren't planning on spending more time than a quick glance at the satnav - apologies for the poor quality photo

Glad to hear it's acceptable up to 100. That would indicate the small 'fairing' is actually quite effective.
But I still reckon that a higher screen, just so as to get the sat nav (i.e. iPhone) mounted behind it and just above the clocks would kill 2 birds with 1 stone (metaphorically speaking of course, I don't actually want to kill any birds - or even injure them. In fact can all the birds keep away from my bike please. Well, just the feathered variety anyway).
But don't worry folks, it's not a deal-breaker.![]()
Puig is arranging something , next november will be out
Next is ' not yet arrived' :-) 2 months
It's surprising how much effect the T's small fairing has. From the front it looks like the rider is completely exposed, yet as others have found, 90mph doesn't seem to be a strain and 100mph for long periods ought to be quite possible. Yet I remember when (most) bikes didn't have fairings and even 80 could be quite a struggle, especially in a bit of a headwind.
Even the small fairing/screen of the Tuono must deflect a lot of that away from the rider. Wind tunnel data would be interesting to see.
Be that as it may, I look forward to a higher flyscreen.

Don't know about wind-tunnel data, but if fly-splats are anything to go by, I tend to be covered from the top of my chest upwards, about 6 inches below my shoulders tends to stay clean, but above that ... jeez, it was disgusting yesterday afternoon, I now need new leather cleaners
Any updates on a taller and/or wider screen?
Any other manufacturers? Or the Laminar Lip guys?

In The Garage
1. Tuono V4 in super fast Yellow, 15/42, Werkes pipe, Race ECU, Oz Forged Wheels, Aprilia Touring Screen, Revalved Forks & Shock, heated grips, CRG Bar End mirrors, Ventura Rack, Carbon side fairings, Baher Intercom, Mana raised bars, Nitrous kit, super charger, shitty Chinese folding levers & a sticker that apparently makes me ride faster and a sore ass from the marginal seat...
2. RSV Factory 2007 With full Carbon Fibre Fairings and other flashy shit. For sale if you're interested!
3. GSXR750 K7 Track bike
Yeah, Goldwing! On a serious note, I would magine anything to be effective would just look stupid. I have a pan European and the wind blast and buffeting over the top of the screen is worse than full blast from the Aprilia
