A big thanks, (gracias, merci, grazie, ευχαριστίες, спасибо, bedankt) to all for the words of encouragement (and the offers to relocate). Things are really starting to fall into place, and I'm hoping for a productive and stress-free work week.

    Allen,
Congrats on the big change. You are now truly the Big Kahuna. Is the shop in Oakland?

    Talking Oakland? Oh Oakland, MD!

With your knowledge/skills and passion, being located in BFE should not handicap your newfound business. And really I guess you are pretty much central for all of the East Coast.

This is really good news for us East Coast’rs.

And finally, to be able to do it in an environment where you make all the decisions on how the work should be done, without someone contradicting your methods.

dont see the fridge in the photo a small oversite I am sure

I was wondering if it was showing up on any computer other than mine. I've had a couple of messages and emails from people who couldn't see the banner.

I still vote that you buy a cargo van, fill it with fig newtons and Ape parts and start playing the role of traveling guru! Admit it... Great idea... at least for those of us too far away to visit you!

Edit: forgot to ask... How was your first official day?

Best of luck! I think you're the only guy I'd trust with my bike anymore. Most of the dealers have forgot these bikes already here in Canada. Makes me want to look elsewhere. Well what do you know! Allen has a shop! I think I may ship my motor your way in time. Congratulations!

Don't think that idea hasn't crossed my mind....but I'm pretty sure I can just buy fig newtons along the way

    Hi Allen,

    congrats to the opening!

Your knowledge here in the forum is a big asset and so it will be for your own company.

    P.S.:
Recently i've read through all of your x-America pages.
And when i now noticed this post heading and the banner, my first impression (The title implied this to me) was you're preparing for a world tour with the ape

    Unfortunately too far for service...

    Best regards from Germany!
