Official opening Noland Trans-World Cycle

After nearly six years as the service manager, off-road crew chief and head Aprilia technician at Xtreme Power Sports, the time has come for me to venture out on my own. It is my hope that this move will allow me to provide a more personal level of service than I was able to in the past, and give me a chance to complete some ‘XV projects that have been on the back burner for a while.

We have been very busy preparing for the July 5th opening, and the 9,600 square foot service area is now fully equipped for all your Aprilia service, repair and tuning needs.

Best of success to you. It takes a real pair to venture out and hang your own shingle and give it a go. I did the same thing once as a dealer Porsche technician. Started my own shop... it was the most satisfying and scary thing I ever did at the same time. I was a single parent of two kids at the time and too much time it consumed for me... could not sell the kids so I let it go and sold the biz. The S.O.B. who bought it ran it into the ground within six months...
Just remember you get paid last.. and keep the state and feds happy first. They have long arms and and an unforgiving nature. I want to do it all over again now..

IMO, the first thing you need to succeed in the m/c service business is the knowledge and experience to provide the quality service people need.

Second, you need to be passionate about what you, so much that you love getting up to go to work each day.

And finally, to be able to do it in an environment where you make all the decisions on how the work should be done, without someone contradicting your methods.

Now you have all that.

Back in 2008 I suddenly wanted an SXV550, and without ever riding one or even sitting on one I called you and bought one over the phone. A week later the bike arrived in a crate to my house in NJ.....your setup and prep work was spot on....the bike has been great from day one. Thank you for making me a happy SXV owner.
