Re the links id not go shorter than 98mm, i noticed some instability at that. I think the raid links are 100mm. Ive four sets in 2mm increments from 104 to 98mm.
With the taller rear profile of the roadsmarts ive actually settled on the standard links as best compromise.
Invest in a low seat id my advice.
Stock is 104 right? At 100mm do you agree with Precis in that it will raise the rear 25-30 mm?

I might go with the RR links and then raise the front if I Feel its unstable. I don't think the RR links are super expensive.

I'm pretty tall, 6,2 with long legs. The capo is short for me.

Parx, I just did the same thing.

    -RR dogbones in the rear,
-dropped the forks through the clamps so the tops align with the top triple clamp.

I'm the same height as you and now the bike feels just right underneath me. Handling wise, the steering is a tad quicker, but nice.

    I like the new setup!

If you don't fancy machining the rear raisers yourself check out Lust Racing on ebay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/BIKE-DIVISI...id=p4340.l2563

Stupid money when compared to the standard RR bones from Aprilia..
I'd like to die on Mars. Just not on impact.
The appropriate number of cylinders for any motorcycle is two.

Are the Lust ones the same as the RR ones? I emailed them to ask but have not heard back. Since the RR was never sold in the US it takes for ever to get parts off of one. The both appear to give 25mm in lift.

Well I got the 100mm Links on the bike. I really didn't notice much of an improvement if any. I think it raised the back maybe 3/4 of an inch. the center stand still gets the tire a hair off the ground if its un even.

I still have the forks lowered to the second ring.

I still feel like the front is hard to roll into turns. I have ridden a few DL1000's that were set up and it seems like they roll better into the turns.

Just to recap, I have hyper pro springs in the front forks, fork at second ring.
Rear RR shock and RR links.

With the fork raised the rear jacked so the tyre is just touching on the cs thats your lot really geometery wise id imagine.
Learn to counter steer more agressively or change your tyres to something pointier like the roadsmarts or michelins roads, or buy a dl1000.

WEIRD!!! What tire do you have on the front of your Capo?

The DL650s & 1000s that I have ridden, with the same Anakee2s I run, steered much more slowly than my Capo. Even the 650 felt 100 lbs. heavier that my Capo when going from full lean one side to the other. I don't think I have raised my Capo rear as high as you describe yours.
