    Putting my ride back together

Hey there forum, I'm currently the midst of repairing my beloved Aprilia after a car decided to effectively run me off the road just over a fortnight ago. *waves fist angrily* I just had some brief questions I wanted to ask.

Seeing as the original fairings were much too expensive to obtain I decided to purchase a set of the Tyga GP250 fairings of which I'm in the midst of installing.

However, it seems apparent that at some point in my bike's past one of the owners has decided to install an aftermarket rear shock canister. (Not certain as to what the correct term for it is) The problem with this is that the valve connecting to the banjo bolt wasn't done up at a particularly nice angle, thus not leaving enough space to slide it over the mount and any other angle seems to cause kinks to develop in the hose.

Here's the picture from the Tyga website of how it's supposed to sit.

Would it be safe to loosen the bolt just enough to allow the valve to be rotated? Or is this a bad idea?

Also, does anyone know of some axle sliders that could be installed on the RS250? or any reason why I should refrain from installing them?

    Cheers.

On my MK11 the shock canister sits on a plastic part of the original undertray, which seems to be missing from the picture, with the red adjustment knob facing left side of the bike, between the subframe spares
That image just doesn't look right
Don't undo any bolts on the shock you will loose the pressure.

That looks like Tyga's own rear sub-frame designed for use with their own seat unit not using the Aprilia undertray that holds the shock adjuster and cdi etc. As Miket1964 points out the shock adjuster sits across the bike on both MK1 and MK2 versions.
