    PDK 1855 cylinders are about 5000 thai baht($175 AUD). they are plentiful here but i guess they'll eventoually run out as they are nicasil and get tossed when too worn.

    Yeah Mitch. If I'd have known or envisioned the hassle in getting the 500 together i'd have done just that. I'm getting this done just to satisfy the need to actually see something completed, I have another roller that may get a standard motor. or a rg500, or a rxv550or a ktm380, or a ..................
    Fuck it, the next project will be a car. I already have the engine mounting kit for a MX5(miata) SR20DET conversion. Sacrilege I know, but a 400hp car that weighs 950Kg somehow appeals to me. It seems my attraction to money vortexs is directly proportional to my expanding age/girth.

    That motor I got from you is what I've been doing all my track riding on for the last 12 months. I beefed up the clutch, just had its second set of pistons. Vhm heads. The barrels were ported by previous owner. Set of Jim lomas pipes for a rgv made to fit. It went to a good home I'm considering fitting some cr pv's and an ignitech for next year, hopefully with a 2tInstitute 110 mm rod crank. Bring on the next race season!!!!

    Ported Eh?. Then the old lady I bought it off really did only use it to ride to the library on mondays.

    There were scars on the cases from piston failure on one side and there was major reshaping around the aux boost port. Also something had failed, probably a ring locating pin but that was still present, that scored the nicasil and piston skirt. Fresh pistons really woke the old girl up
    would have thought you would have got that lotus if you wanted a mean car...

    That's good to know, shops sell them for $475 where I'm at so I know for sure where not to buy them!! lol

    Yesterday did all the measuring for my stock swingarm, so tonight hope to do the singlesider to know how much to offset by. Did you need to do this? Also the bolt on my model is a smaller diameter, so either will have to fit new bearings in the NSR150 item or bore out my frame to fit the NSR150 bolt. Personally prefer to do the later.

    Will change my avatar to show what the project is to look like. (change only shows on my public profile, not sure why?)

    Just an update... New fork springs with 10mm spacer... The rear YSS shock is off to YSS in Bangkok to get re-gassed.. got a cheaper one in and to tell you the truth I think it works better.New triples, new clipons new tail from Chemonk in indo...
    Still need sugestions on a bikini fairing that would suit this.. the end colour will be the green of the tail with whit/black accents.
