Sounds nice!!
Sounds nice!!
Thanks KWest for all your hard work and giving us the opportunity to get a map tuner that works.
i want one as soon as you have them ready.
and also lots of thanks to Alice Racing for sharing all that information. i can't wait to try it!!!!
This sounds like a great project. I want!
It sounds like you have a good team work there, I'm in!
I am also interested.
I'm In to, finally completely independent of my dealership!
I'm interested. Does the Alice racing come as a complete tune or do you have to go in and make all the changes manually? (or am I not understanding this completely?)
after reading the excellent post from stu at alice racing on tweeking the maps I'm a little confused. Can you make the changes stu suggests with the software and lead or do you need the third party software addon to customize the maps ?
I have a RXV 550 I am very interested in the diagnosis and Motorcycle Maintenance, and over time I hope to use the software to make the sweet and full engine at low and medium engine speeds![]()
I believe the only way to currently do the Stuart changes is with TuneEdit software and cable. The KWEST kit, when available, will replace the need for the TuneEdit software and cable. AFAIK it is not possible any other way.Can you make the changes stu suggests with the software and lead or do you need the third party software addon to customize the maps ?
With the first software release of XV Tuner you will NOT be able to fine tune the map files like you can with tuneboy. You will be able to upload any Aprilia map that the dealers have access to, and adjust Idle CO, Fuel Correction (+/- 5%).
Beyond the factory maps there will be maps for the 450 and 550 with Stuarts tuning tips, and a couple other un-published tricks.
In the near future non idle air valve bikes (going thru beta testing right now) will have ability to adjust the injected fuel (+/- 5% in .7% steps), ignition timing (+/- 4 degrees in .25deg steps), phase (+/- 50deg in 1deg steps) per cylinder. You will also be able to set the revlimiter RPM. These changes will be able to made in realtime via the software. Which means in seconds you can make change and be back on the bike without ever stopping the engine. This is a huge time saver, right now it's 4-7 minutes to do a upload via tuneboy if all goes well.
In a future release of the XV Tuner software you will be able to modify the map files in an external editor and then use XV Tuner to upload them to the ECU. This will allow full tuning of the ECU, which will include access to tables that only before were opened up a select few people in the world.
The XV Tuner software is just getting started, once I get the first offical release out of the way I will be laying out the roadmap for the future.
I will have 25 cables ready to ship by the 10th of this month, with the second group of cables ready for July 8th.
Respecting AF1's policy I am unable to post the final pricing, or sell the cable on this site, however I will have a link to the PayPal store up this weekend.

Thank you KWest and Stu for developing an invaluable system for the rxv/sxv engine. Count me in for an Ecu access cable!
Great post!
KWest, can you start putting a list of people through the PM for each batch of cables?
Can this cable be used with tuneboy software?
