    Hello- New to my Pegaso

I recently bought a 2000 Pegaso Cube which at this point has 3900 miles on it, 2700 of which I put on myself through a road trip after purchase and some local riding.

I think I'm blessed at this point as it runs cleanly and everything is tight right now. I changed my rear sprocket for a steel 45 tooth since most of my riding is on the freeway here and just some local roads. My previous ride was a 1200 Triumph Trophy year 2000 as well. I loved that bike but needed something lighter and easier take along on a hitch.

I'm just sorting through a stumble in the 3000-3800 rpm range, very clean below and above that. Light to moderate throttle in that range is fine too, only under full load does it stumble twice and then runs clean.

I really like this machine. It cruises so nicely and is very smooth for a single. My long ride so far was about 1500 miles or so in a few days and the vibes never bothered me. Monkey Butt helped with the seat although stopping every couple of hours for a little break makes all day no problem.

With relatively few miles on the Pegaso I'm looking around to take pre-emptive care of it to avoid big problems.

Any helpful suggestions are appreciated but more than that, if I can lend any info please ask. I've had a good number of machines going back to the mid 70s so if it was made, I might have had it. Being me, usually it was the machine everyone said they wanted but few actually bought.

    Anyway - Hello!

    Hi Hotpegged,

Mine's a 2000 cube as well, also geared up a little for the highway. These bikes love the Iridium spark plug. It might just sort out your 3000-3800 rpm range stumble. Apart for a couple silly little things (and I did two of them accidently), mines never missed a beat.

Great little bike, heaps of fun, and just what the doctor ordered to blow the cobwebs away!

    Cheers VSU21
