Gotta move those front coils one day tho..... What a pain in the A*** if you need to replace them.

In my case its not mechanical ineptitude, or laziness, its just I figure why mess with something ie a new coil with a good reliability record, if I don't need to

Crispy X Caponord - Burned Grey - replaced with Ducati Multistrada 1000DS - Black but not crispy but now sold, Honda Transalp XL700V-8 lasted two weeks before I got bored, so got an 07 Yamaha TDM900 but then swopped it for a Yamaha FJR1300 in faster blue

Yeah,Fit some Jap car/bike ones that fit direct onto the plug...
I was lucky enough to pickup some Oem coils up cheap.
I replaced a No.4 Coil (like everyone does) 50k-ish ago and the others seem fine as the ol girl approaches 100k.
I'll go in for look next wet season when I'm doing a valve check...but if it arnt broke...

Thanks for the great post! I'm in the mid of changing all electrical parts of my capo after the ECU is blown. A very silly question here, how many coils are there on a Capno? I saw two, but I heard Coil no. 4?

Jackie - the two you see are for the back cylinder; the front cylinder's coils are down behind the radiator and are VERY hard to get at. BigSteve recorded on the forum how he moved the front coils to sit under the seat, but you do need longer HT leads for it to work.

Thanks, Precis. I referred to the workshop manual, and found the hidden two. I'm struggling whether I want to change the coils. Seems a lot of work to do.

Easier in the workshop than at the side of the road!
