Just Announced -- 2011 USA RSV4-R will have APRC

We are now happy to announce that the 2011 RSV4 R model will also be imported into the USA with the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (A-PRC).

In addition to the A-PRC the MY11 RSV4 R will also sport a revised muffler, new wheels and lower gearing for improved acceleration. Ships in May. $16,999. From the one picture it appears the wheels have less spokes, so hopefully they are lighter.

The 2011 RSV4 Factory APRC SE is shipping in April according to the latest info we got just a few minutes ago.

    so now we are getting
2011 RSV4 Factory APRC SE $22499 April timeframe
    2011 RSV4 R APRC $16999 May timeframe

Curious why Aprilia would spend the $$$ developing a new exhaust when majority of people shitcan it for aftermarket.

im curious if the new can still has the exhaust valve in it..maybe the new one is quieter? usually things like that change for EPA reasons, none the less i think i like the 2010 can may look lil better. But perhaps it is smaller in favor of less weight, who knows!

I had a feeling that Aprilia would do that, however I wonder if the R got the same massaged engine of the SE that some tout as being up to 10-12hp more powerful than the previous one.

I for one am glad that Aprilia is staying competitive. I admire rider aids such as launch control and traction control but for my riding I really dislike electronic interventions. I know I may clock quicker lap times with TC, but do I really care so much on those weekend rides? Unless you have a huge budget and access to top tier equipment, racing the RSV4 is going to be a challenging proposition.

Very interesting… does that means the left over 10’s will be even cheaper?
I’m willing to make the sacrifice and help clean someone’s showroom for the new models… if of course they recognize my sacrifice and… you know where I’m getting.
