    Ignition/HT Leads - Cheapest way?

    Hi, chaps

Before you ask, I've searched the forums but the stock answer seems to be "buy aftermarket performance leads from so-and-so company". I know the Aprilia leads have a screw on coil connection but is it possible to make our own leads?

Yes I am tighter than a crab's arse, BTW.

Get yourself down to Halfords armed with the old leads (for length) and caps (for size/design) and buy the leads of the reel for a fraction of the price. If your flushed, get some nice silicon jobbies

Edit: Just saw you're in the UK, so yeah probably Halfords might be ok! Quality might be iffy though

Cheers Chris. Will have to take a trip to Halfrauds. Banjaxxed - Silly old me. I was searching in old money (HT leads) and in every forum! Cheers for that. Fiat Bravo/Brava apparently.

Thanks again. I can replace my slowly disintegrating originals now!

actually need to take that back, i think the Capo/Fut is different for HT leads, so check first. Would be great to know the Halfords replacement for the interchangeable parts thread..if you figure it out

The oem wires are solid copper wire core. Resistors are in the caps and plugs. Any solid metal core wire of the correct diameter will work fine.

They're not ready made, you buy the HT cable of the reel and make 'em up yourself. Saves shed loads of cash
