So, I got my bike back today after a service and had the Race ECU installed. The difference is very noticeable - throttle is wayyyyyy more smoother and rolls on much more sily and the power (low and mid range) is incredible
Had the latest map installed and I am extremley impressed with the performance of the bike now. Will wait and see how how much more mileage I get but any increase is a bonus.

I have spare ECUs that I can load with the correct race map for your year/model exchange for your original ECU.
USPS Priority Intl mail from the US to AU would cost $20 and arrive in about one week.
You will still need to get your dealer to reset the throttle learn calibration with the AXONE, but this way there would be minimal down time.

I would need a $750 deposit that would be refunded after I receive your old ECU in good working order.

I did something else DAVE31. I bought a used ECU from ebay.com and had it shipped directly to AF1, where the RACE map was installed. Then it was shipped to me here in Greece, went to the local dealer and installed it on my RSV4 Factory aprc. All this took about 10 days. Any RSV4 ECU will do, but before you bid on ebay.com, email them the link so they can confirm that it fits.
My experience is documented in this threat as well.

Thanks guys. The budget dictates that I will have to wait a while to do this..... have just received my GB Racing engine protection kit from the UK today. Have a race day next weekend so need fresh rubber for that as well.

The local version of the IRS owe me some money which should be available at the end of the month

Man I took my 2012 rsv4 to my dealer to get my race ecu installed they couldn't get it to work and it was throwing codes so they put my stock ecu back on and now my odometer reads zero any ideas why they couldn't get it to work I bought the ecu from af1?

Because they didn't read Aprilia Tech Bulletin # 001-2011 that tells them exactly what needs to be activated and also because they did not load the new race ECU with the correct map.

    Yes I just got it.
Give me a call when you're in town, I'm about 30 miles south of LAX.

I meant that your dealer that is installing the ECU did not read the bulletin, AF1 has nothing to do with it.

So, I have noticed that I get roughly the same klms to a tank - around 140 including reserve - that I was orginally getting on my stock ECU without the latest map update. Once I installed the latest map update I was getting closr to 200klms.
I'm a bit bummed about going backwards in mileage but the tradeoff is a super responsive bike that rides much more better than what it once did.

Thats not so good, I assume that 140ks is a mix of cruising and caning or was that from Broadford?

We will have to meet up for a ride when weather permits and do a bike swap. Also sent you a PM.

^^^ The 140 k's is a mix up of both. I imagine going for a squirt out on the open road it would better.
As I work Saturday, Sunday (the Lords day) is the only day free. Please hit me up when you wanna hit the mountains
