is my speedo cable the problem?
hi just cleaned and adjusted my powervalve
and removed the speedo cable as it stopped working on the way home from work on friday.
not sure what im supposed to be looking for but one end of the cable that was in the end near the wheel is still square.
yet the end that was connected to the speedo is sloping
is my speedo cable no more or is it the speedo drive that is knackered

Always change the cable first if it looks square, there alot cheaper to buy and if the speedo unit has gone at least you got a new cable and speedo to start a fresh with.

one end is square.. i assume they should be tapered off then.
best advice i can giv ya tony is to try findin sum1 who has an rs who wis willing to play donor for a few mins! put there cable onto ur bike and see if it works then
hi m8 have one on order from bike shop. and bike is in for m.o.t on saturday and having a service and the cable fitted so i hope it's that
seems worn down to a point at one end. and square at the other
is that how its suppose to b or not im not sure!!!! u shud b gratefull mate at least u have an engine!!!!!
