After connecting to 4 bikes I have never a vin
And that includes future as well

It works just fine as is
Italians bike manufacturer in general have their own way of doing things
And every aprilia owner knows that :-))

Tom, members here a only discovering the software and how to use it
Usually problem are due to end-user training

We are working on that and writing a English version of the manual to avoid many question and scary moments

Alain doesn't have an aprilia to test I or motoabruzzo are checking every issue reported and report back to him if need be
    Thank you

That's great, some end-user needs a little more hand-holding for the first time. So we are working on a manual with all screen shots etc...

We are hoping to make it as fool proof as possible.

If later you want to integrate it into the website, you are welcome to it.

Are you writing the code Christian? Who's on the inside of this little project anyway? I know Alain Fontaine wrote the original for the Triumph but who is porting this thing over to aprilia?

Alain is writing all the code. I offered to help but he prefers to do it himself.
He did Triumph, KTM and now Aprilia.

    Tom is managing the website.

I came in and ask Alain if we can do the port to Aprilia, which he agreed but doesn't have any bike to test, so I was doing the testing and traces for him.
Half way around the globe... pretty funny.

Right now I am translating/adapting a user manual hoping to make it clear how to use it - this manual will be in English.

I am also looking at revamping the tuneECU website, but that will take more time.
I hope this clears things up.

Thanks to all of you for your work.

I am studying Catfish's web pages in preparation for our highly anticipated 'release' of his map in a hex file. I briefly thought of manually changing my current map to mirror CF's TuneEdit map, but then my senses came back. Talk about giving children matches!

Funny, on the Triumph forum, when this first came about like 6 months ago, I was asking if they were going to make a version for the Ape but nobody would whisper a word.

Yes, I'm happy with the software and I am Partial to Aprilia so I was happy to see the conversion take place.

I loaded an updated map on my stock Sprint and it made a world of difference. Other than gas mileage....

Hi! i followed up all the story about tunecu and you are genius... is not easy too reverse a thing like the sagem! I tried yesterday on my Caponord y2001, the diagnostic side works well but when i tried to retrieve the map (after opening an aprila map 050109.hex) from the ecu i have a problem: it connects correctly to the ecu and shows me the serial but the map number is strange(something like map: 10768(i don't remember the number))but it seems a number less the normal maps, so when i try to retrieve the values it says Map Type unkown...
    Any idea about it?
If you explain me how to do it, is possible to made an hard dump of the contentent of the ecu if it can be useful for you to debug?

Thanks you are opening a new frontier for my Caponord
