    Barrymore Brake Disc

Hi. During a great trip over the last few days at the Nurburgring i began to notice a slight pulsing whilst braking through the lever and forks, this got worse as the days went on and was terrible after a lap of the track. I got home and put the bike up to give it a once over and tlc after a trip. I took the brake discs off and noticed that one disc did not float at all and was seized on its buttons. The other one was fine and jangled a bit. I loosened the buttons, placed back on the bike, rode, still bad. Measured the discs with a guage as they rotated and one is as bent as barrymore. I think seized rotor buttons have caused this.

Anyhow, i need one "used" brake disc as the other one is fine and runs true.

If no one has a spare then im wincing at the thought of the price of a new set.

Can anyone help in anyway, cheers peeps.

There is only one place for that brake disc. Chuck it in a swimming pool.

Strange that you don't hear about Barrymore too much these days.

I did read that Trexracing straightened one for a skint customer using an adjustable spanner or two. Gotta be worth a try, what can you lose?

Also talk to Steve at ST motorcycles in Grantham. He is a master straightener of all things bent. Just ask AndyBev, Steve straightened him out for a few quid.

Sitting with the front brake on and a hot disc can cause barrymoreing. You create a hot-spot (see what I done there) and what kind of spot don't you want ... a hot spot. Different cooling rates cause warping.
FUCK THE MAGS Nuke the whales!

I see to recall that the ORIGINAL Tuono was around £18000 new......
Only 200 of them made (and yours ain't one of them FTM.....) worldwide.

Spent about an hour with markers and a gauge using two big adjustable spanners slowly trying to tweak the bender out of my disc.

What a difference. Its less barrymore now on the eye (deffo bent) and more Kevin Spacey.

Will road test tmrow, fingers crossed. Its great being skint.

No luck. Its fucked. I give up. Spent 3 days on the fucker. Had the wheel off, brake disc off, cleaned hub surface, replaced disc, cleaned all caliper pistions again and again, Released all rotor button washers, tried the spanner method, and a whole host of other things, road tested and its still fucked.

    Need a new one.

I think this has been caused by seized rotor buttons. It was like a plate from the titanic when i took it off. No give or rotation at all. The other one was fine and semi-floated no problems and is not warped.

    For fucks sake.

You could always hit up ebay and buy some late 90's early 2000 Ducati supersport discs, or FZR thou yammie discs. You can check the Falco forum thread what parts are interchangeable. There is a big list of what discs will fit.

Hoh, Hum, another shitty day in paradise!
