i checked the relay and cleaned it and try to erase it from dashboard error and disconnect the battery but urgent service is still there and last time when i saw error was DSB 08 (memo X) it's not there anyomore but still there is urgent check light blinking it's not in limp mode it's works perfect so i guess it can't be oil pressure sensor malfuntion or low pressure if was oil pressure sensor there should have been oil pressure check signal dashboard blinking. i'm really getting frustrated because i don't have dealer here to check it in proper scan toolany help could be deeply appreciated.thanks in advance

Brad? from Aprilia (national tech guy?) diagnosed mine by phone when I broke down in Georgia in May (10 RSV4 Factory). Said he had heard of this issue in a couple of Florida bike with humidity/water. Also surprisingly Aprilia changed how it was mounted - we pulled one from an 12 RSV4 and it now has a rubeer sleeve over it - so it seems Aprilia knew they had a problem.

Mikef4uk - you were throwing almost the same code list as mine when it broke down - not saying yours wasn't what it was but had same error codes when mechanic looked at it on computer - new power protection relay and no more issues to date.

Power Protection Relay is under tail on left side as you sit on it. Square cube with 4 spade type connectors
Thanks for that, my bike was however about 3 weeks old and never been wet

Not that this would help someone on holiday, but the Technoresearch.com software allows you to read codes yourself. This is why i bought the product. Aarfeldt already related how he was able to diagnose loose coil wires at the track and get back to business in no time.

I had a service light come on at my 1st track day and luckily it cleared itself, it was the DSB08. Another time, it threw an URGENT service, it was because I had changed the throttle tube and didn't get the cables routed just right. Freeing up the wires instantly fixed it. Another URGENT was from having disconnected the APRC unit in the left fairing, I had reconnected it after working on the bike but the dash showed the error anyhow. Turning off the ignition for awhile then turning it on did not help. I started the bike and rolled off and it cleared right away. These little brains do make life harder, next time, I'll be armed with the software.

I have already tested it too, disconnected the APRC unit and reconnected it to see if the software would display the error and it did.

As Micah said, these advanced systems WILL break down, they are man-made.

here's a long thread on the Technoresearch software:

Isn't that just it? the bike needs it's first service? the words that stop the bike and point to a component failure are 'URGENT SERVICE'
