Greetings,
New to the forum herre and have been lurking for some time. As the title of this post implies i need some assisatance. I recently replaced the clutch lever on my SXV with an ASV shorty Pro perch (don't waste your time trying the ASV universial brake lever as i have tried it and needed to return it because it wouldn't fit) and now can't seem to get the cable adjusted. I even went back to the stock unit and had the same issue. seems like the clutch cable is now too long for either the stock or ASV lever. I've made every adjustment i can think of from the lever and the cables barrel adjuster with no luck. It doesn't seem as though the attachment arm (sorry i don't know what it's called) down on the engine case where the other end of the cable attaches wouldn't provide any resistance even if the cable were tight as it seems to move through out it's range of motion without effect.
Any assistance in helping to solve this newbs issue would be greatly appreciated.
Jbone
