I am not 100% on the V4 but all the other bikes I have worked on with the Bazzaz system allow tuning down to very low rpm and very small throttle positions with more resolution than a PCIII or PCV in reality. I have not done a Bazzaz like Jon yet on the V4, when I do it will be for a fully tuned street application. I will probably do a real nice photo shoot and technical explanation when I do finally do one.

    Bazzaz Tuning

On the software itself it looks like you can tune from 500 rpms to the redline of the bike, also has a fuel trim by gear, new smoothing feature, self maping and more features
In my opinion I think the bazzaz system is the best compared to dynojet don't know about rapid bike because I haven't tried their product)

Will post some picks installed on the bike in a few minutes

    bazzaz

Thanks Micah. I will wait on your results. I would be sure to became a good solution for street use (higher mpg) before I buy one.

    Co settings

What Co value you have in the US?
Mines (Belgium) = 1,6 % measured idle Certificate of conformance value 0,17.
Could this be changed by the bazzaz .

    bazzaz vs rapidbike

I was studying the difference between Rapid bike and bazzaz. The only hardware difference that I found is :
TPS pickup bazzaz: at the throttle valve(rear cylinder) real position
Rapid Bike: at the throttle position unit (demand position)

What could be the influence of that difference?
    What is the best solution?

I've got the file now, unfortunately it's in a form a bit different from what I expected; due to copyright, I can't post it here.

I'll be happy to email or pm it to anybody that needs it.

Sorry that I wasn't able to post it, but RRW takes their copyrighted stuff very seriously.
Can you send me a copy please

Well i just had the Bazzaz fitted , went to pick the bike up this afternoon . to say i wasn't impressed was an understatement , what a stupid place to mount it one crash and you will destroy it , if it rains or you wash the bike it will get full of water , there isn't enough lead to mount it at the front where it should be it may be plug and play but it will end up in one big headache .

long story short bike was left at the shop and they where told to remove it and fit the HM quick shifter at least i won't have any issues with that .

i ran the TC last weekend on the RC8 and it does work but it is no APRC , BMW or Kawasaki system , it cuts fuel instead of ignition so feel like the bike is dies instead of hearing it poping .
i have always said good things about the Bazzaz but after seeing how they mount it on the RSV4 they have no idea . i will not be running there system again i guess its true you get what you pay for .i am the first to say i always said go for Bazzaz but please forgive me i was wrong its SHIT

You can mount it behind the dash if you like, I have done it. I agree that the left side of the engine is not the best place to mount it on track bike... Also with swapping cables to some cylinders (I forgot which ones) you can get it mounted under seat - if you have LiFe battery to make room.

With all the problems I have had with the qs on the KTM and TC not really be any bennifit at all it's just a waste of time and money , so no point running it , the race map in the ecu is very very good and you won't find any more power with Bazzaz also the rsv4 is that smooth and hooks up so well out of the corners the TC and adjustable fueling is not worth the hassle
So it is coming off and being returned

Sticks on top of the battery with velcro

BUT! I strongly suspect the trial version was fitted to a normal RSV4 and not a Factory with the variable inlets, the variable inlet connector plug is quite a large item and makes losing the extra connector plugs for the top injectors very hard, I tried for a complete afternoon and everytime I lowered the tank I could feel one stopping the tank from seating correctly, I think it would have pushed down ok but I didn't like that idea, eventually I just chopped them off and soldered/heat shrunk the wires, much better!!

    mmyes,
@shanes- what has Bazz in common with the mounting location?
I rode Bazz on racing- enough commitment for money payed.
About self mapping than here you are totally wrong. It seams you did not meet right persons.

i didn't bother with having the RSV4 mapped as i won't put that shit on my bike , we just spent 3 days at Sepang mapping the KTM RC8R and setting all the QS and TC up , it simply isn't up to par , the QS has a mind of its own and would work some times and not others , he removed it fitted a new one and serviced the old one again for the 3rd time out of 12 days on track it has worked for 4 only without issues , it gets dust and water in it and stops working or work intermittently .
The TC is very poor cutting fuel instead of ignition and runs off the crank not from front and rear wheel sensors like real units , also the feeling hen it cuts in is not good feels like the bike is dying you never know if its working correctly or not as you can't hear it , yes the fueling and self mapping works ok but it is only fueling . over all the system is poorly put together and very prone to breaking down , if you spending money you want it to be well spent and the system to work and work properly .
as for its mounting point , it was mounted in the bracket supplied and where Bazzaz said to mount it . which is totally stupid one crash and you will destroy it and how apart from have to look at all the wiring it will get full of water , any one with half a brain would have it mounted at the front under the clocks .

Tuto if you think its good try riding a bike with a real system and you will soon change you mind , i want to turn up to the track and ride not have this shit breaking down every other day and it does as just about every part of my system has gone back and been replaced and it was all new , that the whole reason the guy flew over and spent 3 days working on it for free as he felt so bad , , last month there where 5 guys at Sepang with Bazzaz QS that all had stopped working that say it all to me

Cheers Mike, mine is the lowly R model so shouldn't need to modify the loom
