    feeler: 2002 RSVR ~4k mi

It says "feeler" in the title but this bike is now for sale. I'm getting more into track riding so I just don't have much fun on the streets anymore. No low ballers though, I won't hesitate to turn this into a second track bike.

I'm trying to find out what my bike is worth. A friend approached me about buying it so I'm considering it, however, I'm in no rush to sell and I really like it. I have been drooling over some supermotos though. In any case, I don't think I would go under $7000. Tell me what you think.

    Pics

    Current mods are pretty obvious:
    Akra full twin system-$2200
    Factory pro eprom-$270
    Braketech cmc rotors- $2200
Magical Racing windscreen (very rare) ~300
    woodcraft clipons
    sato rearsets-$500
    Pretty fresh Bridgestone bt002 tires
Evo air box w/ derestricted intake
revalved stock shock w/ torington bearing by westcoast gp cycles(+1)
QB carbon side panels and belly pan

All the stock stuff will be included in the price along with a lightly used Tigcraft 60mm slip-on with eprom. There's also a brand new clutch pack, 3 oil filters, and an unused Evo slave cylinder. What do you guys think?

good luck getting 7k for it.....I personally think it is worth every penny, but the market is a cruel little bastard to Aprilia bikes. There are plenty of Mille Rs out there going for 4 to 5 grand with mileage that is close to yours.

It is a shame that you really can't build the price of your add ons into the worth of the bike. You should part out the mods and return it to stock for the sale....that way you can get close to the 7k you are looking for. It is rare that you will find a person to say...that bike is just how I want it and that would pay you your asking price.

Kinda silly also when so many people turn their nose up at the mods on the bike, you return it to stock, sell them the bike and then they run out and get the same stuff you just had on there.

It is the nature of the beast....when someone owns the bike and has put money and effort into it, the price they want is silly to most all buyers. If that same person was looking to buy one, they will use the excuses "the bike has been modified/altered" or "the market shows that bike is worth much less" and haggle the seller down.

I'll have to agree with Factory... especially in CA (Guessing from the plate)

With all the economy issues right now and shiet you really have to get lucky and find someone that wants what you have and knows what it is worth.

Are you in SoCal? I'd be interested to see if you are willing to work out a deal on the bike for less with some of the stock parts back on it and you can sell the mods seperately.

Give me a PM and we'll trade email addresses if you are up for it.

Yeah, I know perfectly well what you guys are saying regarding the mods. The thing is, my friend knows exactly the value of the parts and fully appreciates them. I'm thinking there's a possibility he might take it but if not then I don't sell, kind of simple. I'll post up the outcome.

Waxerdog, yes, I'm in socal. Near the where the 405 and 101 meet.

2002 Tuono "R" #188. The original and 1st model Tuono ever made, and as far as I'm concerned the best looking.

hope get gets it from you all in one piece for what you are asking...worth it IMO. It is sad that all together people will laugh at 7k for that bike, but sell off the pipes, wheels, and suspension and sell the baike as a base model and you could get 8k out of the whole thing (4k for the parts and 4k for the bike)

Update: I am now fully committed to selling this bike. I will consider removing and replacing some of the add ons to fine tune the selling price. If someone wants the bike as is with all the stock parts included then I will not go under $6k. The bike has 4358 mi on it and has recently had the forks rebuilt with Ohlins superbike valves like Pennypasta did to his. This thing handles insanely well!
