I think your best bet is for HGT to put out a modified system for the Morini... if Malossi hasn't done it yet, why would they now?

My usual guess as to why there's even as much tuning kit available for Morini is because of the SR2000. If Aprilia had never switched to Morini from Minarelli, I wonder if there would be even half of the gear available that there is...
Maybe that's cocky, thinking that it's Aprilia that caused Morini aftermarket parts to be more plentiful, but it seems somewhat likely too....
yea why do it now that they don't use the morini any more... but there are alot of them out there so it might be a good seller... they only have to make the Tourque drive unit to assemble the overrange kit!
This is getting alot of interest which is why I posted the thread... I have a kit on my malugutti/mineralli engine and was just not sure what we could do to put it on the ditech.... I thought I have seen them listed or atleast the tourque drive unit for the ditech...... clould me listed wrong... I'll double check.... Thanks Everyone for the info and interest... It seems to be helpfull to me and others...
Yessir... it has been helpful. I was thinking about getting this set-up for a while now (over a year ago with my last scoot). I think this may be my next investment... after another stinkin' fuel pump.
Is this something I can get from HGT (for my Piaggio)? I know Scootercraft has it, but I like to keep it in the family if I can.

Piaggio bought Aprilia, so all of the scooters are now Piaggio motored. You will find a few parts mis-listed for Morini Ditechs on different web-shops. There's a torque driver on one, there's clutch bells on a couple, there are exhausts sometimes.... It's hard to know what is and isn't right a lot of times.
As much as I like my Morini motor, I'm not expecting the market to change for it any time soon. It will take a lot of Morini-engined scooters on the streets for us to end up with more parts. So.... everyone in Europe: stop buying SRs and Aerox and go get some Suzuki Katanas! And buy some for your friends and family too! And don't think we'll reject you here, because there's a Ditech Katana....

I can tell you for fact, Malossi isn't going to be producing anything new for the Morini but I may.

HGT is where. are you going to the 70cc? is best top speed held or best top speed for few seconds?
I checked HGT and he sells the torque driver for the same price as SIP sells the whole kit. I just wanted to make sure that this was the right, and complete, setup:

And yes, i will eventually be going to 70cc and am looking for the best top speed. Not sure what you mean by "best top speed for a few seconds".

2 diff top speeds. a Consistent top speed. or just a top speed that you can only hold for about a few seconds..
IE I want to travel at 60mph all the time with no problem.. or I want to be able to see 60mph on my dash every now and then..
My top speed on mine was 114kph.. but I will never reach that again nor do I want to.
SIP is Malossi's exclusive Dealer. Everyone else has to buy from them in Germany. SIP cannot sell Malossi to anyone in the US though due to our agreements. They probably sell in a day what I sell in a month.
I just ordered in some non-Malossi parts from SIP (bearings, seals and tools) as I have an account with them and my shipping was $76.00
If you really want to try one, I will match their price plus shipping to the US.
This is how much below MSRP SIP can sell. An Euro will cost you about $1.30 today. More if going through PayPal.

What would just the Torque Driver alone do for a PPJ engine with LV ZX, Multivar 2000 etc.?
If I've understood it has different angles from stock one and "it down-shifts faster" - I'm not sure what this means when talking about performance boost, but maybe you do?
It's a quite expensive part but I'll get one if it helps accelerating. I drive a lot with my friend so the scoot is under a heavy load.

In my opinion, I wouldn't install one unless your at 86cc. A 50cc or 70cc will not benefit much if at all.
