It is mentioned and explained few times on the previous posts......
The resistor in question is located on the left side next or close to the battery.
Look for the white endcap typu plug with a small jumper on it.

However, the backfiring you described might be due to air-sucking and/or exhaust leak.

Ok,thanks for that will try everything you have said but have bought a resistor just to rule that out, have also adjusted carbs by 3 whole turns from stop.Did recently put new stock exhaust on so will check my nuts, thanks again.

Checked my resistor today on 2000 Cube it was reading 1., this was the same reading as if I had not put the probes on anything, unpluged the resistor and had a ride round the bike still ran exactly the same, so obviously the resistor was blown. Got a 10kohm from Maplins, checked it first and was reading 10.1, fitted it today and the there's quite a bit of diffrance in low rev range, its smoother and not as jumpy, as for the backfiring on engine braking, well thats still there but not to bothered about that............

Quick update....Cube now is much better on fuel, getting about 70ks extra to a tank, after the resistor change.....

Hi does this also apply to Pegaso 2001-2004 with injection? Can't find a resistor so I'm guessing not but the backfire on deceleration is quite heavy, any ideas?
