Went to the dragsrip (with vid)

Jon and I went last week to, um, practice our launches. Despite having no real clue what we were doing we still had a blast and hopefully put down some decent times. Please ignore the first few runs

That looks like a blast guys. I am gonna get out to my local drag facility and do the same.

I practiced starts all the time in MX, like 10-15 per practice session. With 20-30 rider gates in the actual race, the start is damned important.

I am sure this will help you guys in your race starts.

Is the base still running OEM gearing?

    And how about the Factory?

I'll have to double check but I think we decided that it was. We had a 15t on there but then did the engine swap and things get blurry after that.

Factory is +3 on the rear. It's quite the learning curve to keep the front end down on either bike, and hot swapping between runs made things even more interesting.

Jon's fastest time was on the Base Model, mine was on the Factory. If I had launched it better on my last run I think I would have been in the 10.2s for sure as my trap speed was 139mph.

Not that we'd do it, but if we slammed either bike I'd bet we could get sub-10 second times.
