front brake rotors of a Shiver...

    hi mates!

I bought an RSV from 00' last week and realized that the front rotors need to be changed.
Aaand I would like to fit the front rotors of an Aprilia Shiver.
Do they use the same rotors linkage ¿?¿?

No. The shiver has radial front brakes. The offset is completely different.

Why do you want to use shiver rotors? It does appears that they are interchangeable with the later models but as stated, not with the earlier non radial versions

    Thanks a lot dudes!

It is because mine are not in good conditions, and I've been looking for used pieces of crashed bikes and the only thing I've found (in very good conditions) was a broken Shiver with less than 7000 km's.
My brake lever vibrates (like moving up and down) while braking so I think it must be one of the rotors...

I'm spanish so my engurish is quite bad >,< Sorry!

The offsets are controlled by the hub and the caliper mounting. Discs are interchangeable between radial mount and standard mount brakes.

The Shiver disc will fit the 2000 mille but it has a narrower swept area so the standard 2000 pad will overhang the disc slightly at the inner diameter of the swept area.

    Here I am again!

As I've seen, is known that the front discs of a 916, 996 and 748 are direct swap in our RSV's, but:

Are all kind of front discs from Ducatis direct swap on the RSV's ¿?

    For example, this ones:

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

are the same as the ones on RsV 99-2000.5 (not sure but, mine are the same in black)

    And this ones :

are not the same looking. Will they fit anyway ¿?¿?

They are much much better looking than our stock front discs...

    byee!

Both of those discs will work. I have a set like your second picture.
