We'll make this a sticky....post links of how-tos and other useful bits of info the new Capo rider needs to know about. Just facts no opinions here.

I'll start it off with the coil chart as emailed to me

Fault code 33: Coil no 1, front cyl. center plug,
primary wires color: Orange/White and Brown/Red.
Fault code 34: Coil no 2, rear cyl. center plug,
primary wires color: Yellow/Blue and Brown/Red.
Fault code 35: Coil no 3, front cyl. side plug,
primary wires color: Green/Light blue and Brown/Red.
Fault code 36: Coil no 4, rear cyl. side plug,
primary wires color: Orange/Light blue and Brown/Red.

This is a good idea, every bloody bike website has a sticky of this type info.
At the very least it will stop the same questions from popping up from newbs (like my own when i was one) and if anything incorrect is posted im sure there are many here among us to point it out....
Suggest more issues to be ppointed out maybe
Codes from coils is good, but what about the rest of the codes.
Charging fixes
Dash repair
Fuel connectors
Erecticle disfunction
Wheel/linkage bearings
Maybe the thread should be entitled,
"So you've bought a Capo..........."

I've owned my '03 Capo for ten months now. It only had 7500 miles on it when I bought it and not a scratch (I've taken care of that one). It has just under 15K now. Rode it every month I had the chance this winter. It can get pretty nippley in UT, but if the roads are dry and it's above 30F, I gotta ride. I owe much thanks to you guys for all of the tech tips, modification advice and how to's; Ed, Stu O, SteveTalaga, JohnG, Toe Cutter, Ugly58, Grumpygit. You all ROCK!! Thank God for engineers. I'm an electrician myself. Great forum! So far, I've replaced the brown connectors & regulator/rectifier, made the fuel line mod and installed the Ricor Intiminators. Still working on the ignition coil issue, but (knock, knock, knock) haven't had any problems yet. Going to visit my son at USC in CA next month, and I feel pretty confident about riding through the desert solo. Sorry about the rambling.

Take a long piece of vacuum tubing or any hose. Stick it by your ear under the helmet secure the other end to where you suspect niose is coming from. move it till you know its the loudest. simple cheap and beats trying to stick your head near moving parts while trying to ride
