    Wheel spin

Coming to work this morning, 2nd gear 15mph, go to overtake and give it some beans, Woooom, revs jump and I kinda accelerate ha ha. I think its wheel spin as it only happend when the roads are slippy and cold, probably not helping that Im running a PP2ct at the moment!

Anyone else having grip issues on occation in this lovely weather (not you down under...)

Not certain, but I hope it aint! It is very hit and miss, I would guess it would happen almost all the time with clutch slip?

I have notced that my clutch rattles a lot more now than it used to... or at least im fairly sure it does. Maybe this is it wearing? Is 30k miles enough to screw a clutch?

Oh man (~£75 for new clutch...)

I've only ever had my PPs or PRs slip when first pulling out of my driveway. The seem to warm up within a block or so and have never given me any problems once up to temp.

Its wet and greasy here and the temps are like 0-2*C... They dont even get warm to the touch So im guessing that it is a not getting warm thing mixed with a nice dolop of slippy roads

Try Londons roads dude . They have had 2 weeks of oil and salt and no heavy rain to wash them .Just enough moisture to lift the oil up to the top with a sludgy undercoat of gunk .Spend my time fishtailing for fun along embankment on the morning commute :-). I can get wheelspin in 4th easy over the Hammersmith flyover its so oily .My chicken strips are embarassingly wide :-)

    Awww -- you're SO sweet!

I've been threatening to buy "Stradas" for more than a few years, but every time I chicken-out and go with the Street version of the Diablo.

I've just had such good luck with them in all-types of STREET riding conditions....I just can't give'em up!

It IS kind of annoying that the rear wears-out 2x faster than the front...but whattya gonna do?!!

I'd get spin every once in a while with my pilots leaving work at night after a little bit of dew settles. I have to say its much worse with my dunlops, which seem like they take forever to heat up.

just before christmas I also had a small amount of wheel spin....

while cranked over in a corner at around 70 - without thinking too long - like "Fark me do it now" i put my left boot down like a speedway racer and dragged it around the corner

got to where i was going and parked up - took helmet off and lit a smoke as i felt a little perturbed. kicked the side stand down and got off the bike - as i walked away I realised that by christ my left leg ached.....

worst thing - it was on a 125 - not the falco....

    I am such a wuss!

Well - everybody's got their opinion, and what works for one guy's style may not for the other....

But I've had the Diablo's in as many real-world situations (for my riding style) as I can muster, and they've never let me down.
    ESPECIALLY in the wet.

Could I buy a better tire? Probably -- but for now...they'll do JUST fine!!

**Dunlops (to me) d208's and anything else....totally blow for street riding.**
