If you make it thicker on the inside it still pushes it further outside + the engine mount dims change.

yes I understand ... could you then make reinforcement "bump" on opposite side of your weakest point ..if tehere is enough space...

I think you need to go with steel. the AL will only handle so many stress cycles.

If its designed for aluminum no problem. Aluminum has a higher specific strength than steel.

but aluminum will work fatigue in this situation.

It would be pretty schnazzy to make it out of a titanium alloy or stainless steel, but that would be kind of expensive I suppose.

Would steel with a ceramic powder coating be cheaper?

With the bottom belly pan on you don't even see it except the results... powder coated steel would be least expensive. I have some nice aluminum pieces planned you can show off later.

Not if you design it so it cycles below yield.

make sure you put a radius from the top to bottom in the corners of the weak points.....ive been workin on some ruckus mounts for 2 years now and through r&d we found that a radius(rounding out) the corners strenghthen weak points..

Would that be mine, I guess?

I sure hope it's not too late for after-thoughts...!

    Is it a must-have, w/the stretch kit:

    1. Longer rear brake-line.

    2. Raising kit for rear shock.
