Never mind, I just found one I can afford. Unfortunately it's the restricted version and not one of the 49 state RC30s.

Ok, so now life sux again. It turns out that no spacer is used on the wheels for this bike. I have 2 sets of March mag wheels (3 spoke and 5 spoke), and I just found out that my front axle isn't good for either of them. The axle that came on my bike was a stock one modified to HRC spec which is a big NO NO! Jim Granger did this back in the 90's and it broke, which ended up in a not-so-nice crash. The previous owner of my bike modded the axle (just like Jim did) so it would fit the 5 spoke wheel. So to make the 5-spoke wheels work, I have to find an HRC front axle because I don't feel like taking this chance.

The 3 spoke wheels require an oem axle. Well, I don't have an oem axle. Now I have to buy one of these... not the end of the world because luckily they're available, but they are pricey and it's just another expense I didn't plan on. gggrrr............

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I placed my order today for a new axle and nut. (The nut actually costs more than the axle!) Now here's the catch... they're officially on backorder. Historically when an RC30 part is on backorder, it's been discontinued and it becomes NLA. Sometimes there may be stock in Japan and they'll ship the parts, but then it quickly becomes NLA. This is what "usually" happens. However not always. So, we'll see what happens in a few weeks... In the meantime, there's little I can do to the bike.

I'm guessing the axle turned up as the bike is back on the road but I've an idea the axle from a circa 94-97 CB1000 Big One might work with the right spacers. The forks are similar to the RC30 ones but non adjustable although they do have the quick release clamps. Someone from the RC30 forum might know better if it's been tried.
