    Carb fuel supply not sealing.

While I hade the carbs in bits I noticed the brass insert that the fuel cut off rubber tipped needle sits in was a loose fit. I tried blowing air through it with the end blocked and sure enough air comes through.

I replaced the O rings on both carbs.

    That's the bit

That's where it goes on the carb.

Koho was this the same problem you had?

I also had issues (or thought i had!) with the carbs and and replaced all the O rings and needle valve assembly.
    Just as a tip,
I used a repair kit for a Suzuki GS500, they use the same carbs, their parts are more easily available - and cheaper normally.

I have just replaced all the O rings and float valves on my carbs as I had a serious petrol leak if I left the bike standing with the petrol tap left on. The motor wouldn't start after this, even just a short time when paying for the petrol at a service station. This is now cured. Didn't know about the Suzuki part angle Andy, but I will next time. You live and learn!!!

    Hello Alan,
Try the test out for yourself, go onto Ebay and search for 'Mikuni BST33 carbs and the result is nothing - even worldwide!
Then try Aprilia Pegaso 650 carb, again nothing but if you enter Suzuki GS500 carb, you will get a selection of carbs and spares to repair / rebuild your carbs.
