How do i put the Drive belt back on.

Hi, I'm having problems fitting my Drive belt back over the Clutch and pulley. I originally removed it to fit my new clutch but failing to undo the bolt that holds the Contra Spring i decided to put it back on. Now i can't get the belt back onto the Pulley, with two people pulling, i just cant do it. I have the Piaggio Engine (SR50 DiTech 2004 model) if this helps, Is there anyway i can get it on.

Can you take it to a muffler shop or a garage to have them remove the nut?

Else you can just press the pulley grove apart and push the belt into the grove to hold it.

Youll never pull the belt over the top of the clutch, you need to remove the clutch, pull the belt into the bottom of the pulleys, and then refit the clutch.

Yours cant have been the piaggio engine, its miles off... you need to take the pulleys off, fit the belt and then refit the pulleys.

Its impossible to put the correct drivebelt on a piaggio engine without undoing one end... totally 100% impossible and ill happily bet my life on it.

So your either not quite telling the truth and removed something, or fitted a belt which is too long.
