Exclamation CW releases spy shots of Touno V4

There you have it folks, CW has released spy photos of Touno V4 and does a 2 page spread on Nov issue.

It pretty much comes out to be what most of us thought, just a little bit sooner, I think.

This annoys the heck out of me, cause at Indy this year, Mr. Big of aprilia USA marketing or something, said that the tuono would NOT be getting that motor for at least another year. I guess I won't listen to him. On the other hand I LOVE my new '08 tuono and wasn't going to wait that long anyway.

V4 Tuono will be a 2011 bike I think. My understanding is that the remainder of the V990 motors will be going into the 2010 Tuono's.
"Tuono doesn't want to gently take your hand and guide you on a trip, it wants to rip it off and run away with it! I always get the feeling that to ride a Tuono you have to be a real man, prepared to fight it every step of the way, where as on the Triumph you can have an off day and not be left feeling inadequate"

The article did say that Mr. Big cheese at Italy said that it would be out around Spring 2010 and be a 2010 model. Who knows what they will do, all I know is that my -08 is a keeper, never had a bike like this one and from the looks of the spy shots, naked missing the spoilers and such, looks similar as we all said on other threads, that it looks like the RSV4.

Cannot find any pics at the time, maybe amongst us we can find some.

    Cheers

Jeez, not that again. That's NOT the finished product ready for release. Test mule only, that will have zero resemblance to the nekkid production bike.

I hope I hate it when it arrives. I've always said my T is a keeper and whilst I get a little restless occasionally nothing has tempted me away yet.

I hate going through that longing process for a new bike where the need just builds and builds till the only way of satisfying it involves handing over vast sums of dosh.

mate...you remember that red R1 streetfighter we saw at Aber-howeverthefuckyouspell it ?

My next will be a reasonably new Blade or R1 in the same style I recon....junk the fairing, straight bars, fighter headlight...done.

The new T (when it shows it's face) is going to be iro £14K+ I recon...and by the time you've got rid of that huge funnel thing that pretends to be a sports exhaust & slapped on some akras, you're gonna be knocking on for £15K..??

I desparately want to like it Harry.... but for the time being, for me, the negatives are far outweighing the positives.....

I can promise you guys that before model year 2011 there will be no USA model of the V4 Tuono. I can also promise you that there will be deals out there all year on the proven and excellent 990 twin Tuono. Want a 2009 or 2008 or 2007 for WAY less than retail, give us or your local dealer a call. They have a LOT of V990 inventory they need to move both in the EU and here in the USA before anyone gets the opportunity to buy a V4 Tuono.

Mule or not, it's still Fugly...
When exiting the corner I suddenly ran out of talent and fell off the bike.
