it's good quality (sturdy) and doesn't trigger any vibration. i would recommend if anyone would like to have nice side mirrors without having to dig deep in his pocket. as a matter of fact, i felt i rode faster today... perhaps due to better aerodynamic from the mirrors (less wind resistance ).

Lovely sunny day for checking nuts, bolts, fittings, air pressure, rode hard then adjusted and lubed chains etc. Did this for my Shiver and wife's F800R. Back to back comparison is always interesting. Both bikes have some mods - both have handlebar risers and the beemer has lowered footpegs and gear change/rear brake controls modified for Jan as well as Wilbers fork springs and heavier oil, whereas the Shiver has an AIT fuel mod, DNA, LV system and full Matris suspension front and rear.

The Shiver fits me like a glove, the 800R is close but remains slightly cramped. The 800R motor is strong and pulls smoothly everywhere but lacks the urgent throttle hit of the Shiver in S mode. The slightly improved 800R suspension works very well and is superior to a stock Shiver IMO, however it is nowhere near as supple and controlled (soaking bumps, turn-in, ease of direction change, feedback etc) as the Shiver's Matris kit. Almost forgot to mention that the 800R suffers from increasingly annoying handlebar vibration from about 5500rpm upwards (heavy aftermarket bar-end weights are reputed to cure the problem); the L2 Shiver has no comparable vibration issues.

Looks classy tubad. I went with powder coat to hopefully prevent another mess from brake fluid. Today myself and a couple of TARDS went for a rip on one of my fav twisty roads. 300+kms, video to follow.
When we get back from camping.

Excellent, I wasn't really thinking about topping out when I did it, I was just bursting for a pee..............

Just about to order a 15t front sprocket off German eBay which I guess will knock a little off top.

Rode my DD home from the repair shop, where it's been since my crash on April 15. She's all fixed up now (except still waiting for a decal for the right front fender), and I'm looking forward to taking her out this weekend.

    Slowly, at first.

Gotta admit, had a little nervousness getting back on the horse that threw me (esp. given that I still have my left thumb limits and pain that I'm working on.)
