hi i am new to this forum so sorry if im in the wrong place,
i have an 02 plate aprilia sr50 suzuki engined, i was driving home from my nans ( which is 28 mile from my house ) i got 3 mile away from home when my bike started to lose power and cut out , i fired it back up again but as soon as i gave revvs the bike started to splutter and cut out. i eventually pushed it home. when i got it home i cleaned carb, air filter, fuel filter, checked fuel line put new petrol in, checked plug for spark, checked compression, fitted new gasket on head incase of leak, tightened all bolts. i then started fiddiling with the screw in the carb for air/fuel flow, i done two turns to the right and tryed it, i got to the bottom of my road befor it wouldnt rev again without cutting out. the seal for my petrol cap snapped which i read on another forum can lose vacum, but it has been snapped for a few weeks and has never bothered me befor. it seems like there is too much air getting into my carb becase if i put my hand over air intake pipe in the carb but leave slight gap between my fingers so less air gets in it will rev to full throttle without cutting out. i dont know what else to do so please help!!!!
