    Front end damage

    Hello all!
I'm new to this forum stuff. Just purchased a 2008 Tuono that has been involved in an pretty good crash. I'm making a project of it. It sustained damage to front end and rear end. First thing I'd like to do is fix the ignition switch as it now operates intermintently and then realign the forks. Does anyone know how to remove the switch from the top tripple clamp? One bolt came off easy but the other looks like a headless bold or guide pin of some sort and the switch won't budge with it in place. How do I remove it?
    Please help!!!

Probably a security bolt - one which the head shears off when it's torqued.

You will need to either use a hack saw / grinder to grind yourself a slot for a screw driver to get in, or drill the head off

Wow, it's not going to be an easy fix. I kinda though it would be some sort of a security feature. I'm going to have to pull the top tripple clamp off and work on it on the bench. Thanks for the suggestions!

you have to drill out the bolt and then use an EZ out to back it out. the head is designed to shear off during installation. I did mine and the bolt removed in seconds.

Thanks "bikesinmud" ! I think I will try your suggestion. I just changed both exhaust cans and I'm ready to work on the switch...then aligning the forks back to where they need to be cause they got a little twisted...then I can ride it a bit around the house at least. Plastics and lights are so hard to find. I might have to go with new.
