    Rear shock question

my rear shock is on its way out (37k of carting my fat ass around did it in LOL)

So I am thinking about replacing/upgrading and wanted some input on what others have. I see that I could go with an ohlins, a wibber or replacing the stock unit.

Most of my riding will be commuting to work (through NYC so the roads suck) along with some weekend touring/canyon carving, and it seems the missus want sto do some more 2 up riding so I def will need a beefy rear spring (shes around 140 or so and i am up at 250)

So any input would be greatly appreciated.

Are you going to insatall it yourself? I would go with Penske or Wilbers for a direct bolt on, but if you're handy you can try installing an Ohlins. Get a remote preload adjuster so you can easiliy crank it up when riding two up and then back down again to ride solo.

Excellent points esp on the preload adjuster esp with the missus bugging me about more 2 up riding. I iwll be doing the install myself so I can use the links here as a guids to install what I get. I iwll research the penske unit and decide between that and the wilbers unit.
