i decide to build my own motorbike in the spirit of a 250 rs/ fine and light...

i'm not a professional same Kalex or Radical ducati , just an "fanatic" same burt monroe !!!
    all it's home made

    the result ...

    frame , realize in 25CrMo4s dia 32mm
    weight 8.5kg
    tank aluminium 13l
    engine rsv 2001
    fork ohlins 2000
    wheel OZ forged
air box home made big volume.. with a wrong tank in fiber glass
body of 250rs GP 2004 honda
you can modified the angle to 23-27
you can moving the axe of swing arm of +- 7.5 mm in vertical..

total weight since water /oil et gazoline... 165kg.

give your opinion on my bike please
(i'm sorry to my poor language)
WOW .... pure genius!!!.... and i thought i was clever will my little project....but i am not worthy

On a technical note... i see you are still using the original ECU off the early model bikes? I have a 2004 factory motor in mine, but there was Zero tech data on the motor and the new version ECU will not work without the Dashboard and ignition and saftey sensor, so i replaced it with a Microsquirt .... not a simple task, but it is running now and almost ready for the dyno..

Search youtube for "super cafe racer", i also have a posting with some photos.

    Cheers
    John

Hi Superkart, thank you for the compliments, coming from a true engineering master like yourself that means a lot to me :-)

Yes i am the owner and builder of the Super Cafe Racer - "Taimoshan" and today is a good day for me as it drove under its own power !! , I am now very very close to finishing, just some very small wiring issues and then to have the seat covered. Next week it will go the the Dyno.

You are right, i have to have dB killers made for these pipes as it is too loud ( it makes the hairs on your neck stand up !!!)

I do have hundreds of photos as i have been building, i am about to start my own website showing the construction, as you have done. My people have sent me questions on what i have done, so i must make time to answer them now. I will publish the www address when it is ready.

This is really only my hobby, but i am about to start another super special for myself ( i have 4 or 5 new designs, all completely different that i wish to build for myself and to show). I am also working with a customer on the design for a new Triumph Special based on a T140 Oil in Frame Bonneville that i will start soon.

I think that idea of a cafe racer with your frame will be amazing if your race bike is the benchmark. I can not wait to see what it will look like.

Also it is interesting that i have only just seen the first pictures of Aprilia's Blu Marlin this week, i did not see this bike before, there as some very similar ideas...... very similar! I still like mine though... ha ha !

Lets keep in touch, my email is john.pellew@yahoo.co.uk

"Naturally the common people don't want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or fascist dictaatorship, or a parliament or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peace makers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. H. Goring
