You're right; I'm sorry that the attitude, if not the language, was inflammatory. It's just that I've spent years trying to educate folks against products like this, a solution looking for a problem, that I yank out what little hair I have left when I see someone use their bike as a lab rat and promote stuff like this as being effective or beneficial by saying "no problems yet." In what engineering curriculum do they teach that proof?

Transparent rationalizations aside, you've admittedly not checked the performance of "paper" filters (they're not strictly paper), and you've made assumptions based on unproven claims. So you're correct; it's your turn. Do some research; become your own expert...or not. I'm not going to attempt to educate you, because you'd only argue till you're blue. Five years as a motomag tech editor taught me that lesson.

Spark Plug Cables

Had a problem with the number one wire at the coil end, this was the same coil that fired itself because of a loose wire. Don’t know if the wire just got wet, or wrong type of grease was used on it, it did feel gooey. New wires go on and of easily (without pulling the boots back), with a reassuring click at the plug. Connectors are a little different, and I did take the precaution of strapping them down using two electrical ties at the coil end, and one around the porcelain at the plug. Been using them for over a thousand miles now and so far they haven’t come loose.

Got them here http://www.magnecor.com/ it took a couple of emails and a couple of phone calls, and I had them in hand in less than two weeks.

There are several wire options available, I chose the KV85 8.5mm cables.

yes, magnecor makes fine wires....sell alot of them in my business.

with regards to OEM dealers.....i faxed my wish list to EVERY Aprilia dealer in the USA (got the # off the Aprilia site)....yes, thats alot of long distance phone calls.....whereas most of the OEM suppliers were pretty similar in pricing (all back order too), the best deals (in a big way) were found at my home dealer where i purchased the Capo, GP Cycles in San Diego. http://www.gpmotorcycles.com

Hi Magnecor,
Hope you can supply a set of:
KV85 8.5mm cables – first choice
8 mm cables – second choice
7 mm cables – third choice
Spark plug cables for a:

2002 Aprilia Caponord ETV1000
Engine 60 degree V Twin made by Rolodex
Two spark plugs per cylinder

4 wires 15 1/2 inches tip of plug connector to tip of coil connector

Spark Plugs: NGK part number is DCPR9EIX Straight snap lock terminal and boots

Coil: Wire terminal is female, about the same diameter as a spark plug with the terminal nut removed, and an 8.5mm (aprox.) nylon grommet around the terminal that goes into the coil. It doesn’t show in attached pictures, there is a small retaining spring at the end of the terminal.
Boot is angled 45 degrees.
Outside diameter of the coil tower is 15.5 mm tapering to 16 mm.
Following numbers are on the coil:
White sticker around it with the following numbers: 02IG002, 21595179-3, engraved in the plastic cover: PBTP-GF20 (Sagem - made in france)

That's an ancient filter "analysis" off the mini mopar site. It's something all the filter manufacturers joke about every year at the AAPEX show in Vegas. There are several filters available for the Rotax 1000cc V-twin, and all of them are good products.
