So I finally rode my bike and I gotta say, it's hot !! With that YZ engine, when the power bend hits, front goes up, anyway it's nice. Gotta still brake in, tune the carb and also waiting for the silencer to come in from Hong Kong , well I'll post pictures and maybe video when it's all finished. Just hoping it's gonna hold up together.

I didn't add up the the price yet, but finally I got my silencer Yoshimura carbon fiber finish, don't know if I should put the sticker on!

Will post youtube video when completely finish tuning the engine !

I got left, spark timing and the carb, I got 38mm Keihin right now don't like the way it works, gonna try some American carb.

But yeah it goes !! I don't know how the RS250 feels like to compare it, yeah too bad!

My old GPR use to wheelie quite nicely. So with that extra power it's gonna be fun!

Dude that looks awesome but I have to say: last time I saw a conversion like this albeit with a CR500 motor, the guy was killed on a test ride. Pretty sure that was a Derby too. Never did find out how or why the unfortunate young lad lost it but you could do a search for CR500, Derby, Spike.

In any case you really ought to go over the bike with a fine tooth-comb every time you ride it. Something has got to give eventually, they're just not built for that much power or speed.

    Screwdriver.

Hmm. It's tuned for torque rather than top end I suspect. Look at the length of the inlet tract!
Good job there's power to spare but I wonder what effect that has on throttle response...

    Screwd.

    You've got a point.

There is a specific weld fault on Derbys.
    RIP Spike

    What, that ? That's peanuts ! I shouldn't have a problem with that.

As you can see I did some reinforcement.
