    Topcase on a Gen1 Tuono?

Trying to buy a Gen1 Tuono that i will commute with and I will miss my current FZ1 with a nice big Givi V46 topcase on the back.

I did some searching and found a guy that bolted a topcase onto an extra rear seat - is there any other option? Luggage Rack with Givi adapter or something?

It's kind of a necessity for work.

Link below shows a nice looking case bolted onto a seat, but it that strong enough? Lateral forces don't shake it or force it free? Can it handle a lot of weight?

    Any help appreciated.

    - Dan

I've been looking for a topcase and mounting rack for quite sometime. From what I've read the aluminum subframe isn't strong enough to support a topcase, hence the reason there are no racks with an application on the Aprilia. Who knows really.

If it can support a pillion it can do a topcase. I got a spare seat and am in the process of bolting a givi plate onto it, between this and the plastic tank I'm currently without luggage and it sucks

    Price isn't too bad
I use a small tail bag for commuting
It is a sissy bar bag that just straps around the pillon
    good luck

Get the Rentec and just bolt any-old box on.

You will need to cut off the grab rail if you want the box further forward though.

I see to recall that the ORIGINAL Tuono was around £18000 new......
Only 200 of them made (and yours ain't one of them FTM.....) worldwide.

That Rentec will likely do the trick, you could cut the handbar and bolt on a givi plate...you'd need som plugs for the open tubes...either that or bolting a case onto a spare seat...Let us know how that goes for you.

Still trying to figure out a way to buy a Tuoldo, can't really afford it without a trade for my FZ1 unless the guy comes down a bit more, and maybe reverts it back to stock...

Here's a link to the the FZ1 up for trade if anyone is interested...

Is that the box way in the back? Yes, definitely need to cut the grab rail off...

Ventura. It's a luggage system with interchangeable rack parts and bags, do a search and you'll find plenty of info. It seems to be a favourite on here with a lot of Tuono owners.

FTM - I'm impressed that you were able to get all those bicycles on there as well, not sure how aerodynamic it is though...
You really only need three things for bike maintenance
If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape
If it doesn't move and it should - WD40
...and if it falls off and you want to reattach it - Cable ties.

Do you have a pic with just the topcase? Hard to tell exactly how it looks with all that gear...
