    I don't own one - Yet

No, I don't own one. But I am starting to hanker for a Bimota and I am looking to glean info and opinions from people that Do own Bimota's. My wife is telling me that I need to keep my eye open for a bike that is passenger friendly tho. DB5? Then she told me that this bike had to be conducive to her ergonomics (she is 5'2" tall). Oops. She will have to stick with the Guzzi V65 I bought her.

There really are not that many bimota's that are bipostas, DB3 or the Manta, the DB6 which is a naked bike. The YB11 also is a biposta. she being 5'2" will Help, you would have to be the perfect human for a bimota 6"2" a 26" inseam a sleeve length of 38". I have five of them the DB2, YB10, YB11, SB6R,and a SB8RS, it's sad to say they are my life.

When I went to the Moto Corsa event at Willow Springs in '05 for the Laverda Rally (with Piero showing up) I met a charming lady on a SB8 (I think it was) With a Suzuki V-Twin powerplant. I ws thinking that was a nice combination - Italian bike and Japanese engine and a 1000cc V-Twin. Since I was suffering moral dilemmas after I bought my silver 1999 Laverda 750 - with reliability I was thinking a Japanese engine was a good idea. I had previously stumbled across a guy at a coffee shop that was a mechanic at at Honda/Ducati/Bimota dealership riding a RC51. he told me that he would _never_ buy an Italian bike. Anyway, Laverda has stopped circling the drain finally so I started thinking Bimota. I was captivated by the woman on her SB8.

    I am 6'4".

I would agree with SB6 also the DB2, when people have seen mine they seem to pick the YB11.

Here is a picture of my DB2, also my YB11.

I just picked up a 1999 DB4 - similar to the photo, but not the same bike. Old school Ducati SS engine, but a better chassis. Still need to get it serviced before I can ride it (old belts) and I can't wait!

Oh I'd by a Bimota in a heartbeat. The SB8 or the one that had the GSXR1100 motor in it (forget the designation..SB?). Would absolutely love one.

You mean the SB6 or the SB6R like mine. With a lot of work it is a E-ticket ride. It was bored out to 1141cc the ports have been worked on, also over 40lbs. lightier than stock. This is a picture of the exhaust I made up for it.
