Got my court summons They had untill the 19th to get it to me, that would of been 6 months and it came on the 17th Got to go to court on the 15th of Jan and it's still down as dd. As far as I know though there's no video evidence and according to my brief thats good, it's just the word of the copper. Had to pay my brief £1500
I don't know what they are saying though. Usually the officers statements come attached to the summons but they didn't, so my brief is gonna get a copy of them then we go from there. He did say though that dd is quite hard to prove. lets hope so eh!
Anyway thats put a downer on my xmas, wish me luck guys I'll keep you posted

Anyway, I reckon that if they accept you were wheelying and they don't understand bikes, it'll be up to your brief to prove it's not dangerous rather than the other way round. Don't forget we're bikers, guilty until proven otherwise.

There was a precedent set a few years ago by a case in IIRC Nottingham, long story cut short, the defending brief convinced the court that a bike being ridden on one wheel was not out of control, on the contrary, the rider in question was showing a high level of skill.

He still got a book thrown at him, it was just a much smaller volume. Get your solicitor to look into it.

At the end of the day though it's my own fault. Even though they were wankers for hiding in a bush I shouldn't of been on one wheel. If I get a ban less than 12 months I can live with that, I just don't want a year because that would meen re-sitting my bike and car test so my aim is to get the charge lowered from dd. If I can get that done I'm happy (ish).
I'm still waiting to see what the plod have actually said to make it dd, because I wasn't speeding, or racing so really it should be careless driving, or driving without due care or attention.
Anyway, as soon as I get the plods statements I'll let you know what the buggers are saying.

Don't they have to provide you with any evidence that they are going to produce in court at least 14 days before? If they don't provide it they can't use it but I presume your solicitor is already on to that.
