Been some time riding with the snorkel mod, i feel the need to say that the bike response feels way much better, especially in the range 3000 to 4000 where most of the gear changes are taking place in town. I still use the stock mufflers and air filter.

Riding last weekind in the mountains and playing with the bike with my friends, i admit it uses less fuel than before. Strange but true.

But take care when you jet wash the bike, as i found water in the top of the snorkel.

I agree... I have just done the snorkel mod as well, still using stock pipes,
and it rides so much better. One of the best mods for the peg...

    Cheers Angelo

    snorkel mod

Thanks for the mod! It works well on my Pegaso! But I'm thinking about the change of intake air temperature towards the ECU with a potentiometer like on the XT660s. What do you guys think about it?

Already done it but still didn't test it, with out removing the fuel tank
installation is difficult but possible, instead of cutting the wire i unplugged one pin from the connector and soldered a pin on the resistor wire and plug it to the connector, here is a simple diagram

Only in this way you don't need to remove the tank but also like this you need small fingers

This is how it look on the bike

Its been excellant reading this thread..

I have only had my Peg for 3 weeks now ( its new and done 1500 miles so far ).

But i have noticed the jerky fueling at low speeds/low rpm, and when rideing along inbetween 3-4000 rpm it doesnt feel quite right until above 4000 rpm when it feels much better and smoother running.

Would the snorkel mod benifit my new peg for smoother running at lowish speeds ie around town..

I was told by going down 1 tooth on the front sprocket would help matters regarding the low speed jerkyness on the throttle ??..

Great thread and awesome job on the pdf file

I have done the snorkel mod and my mechanic made an excelent job so no 3-4000 rpm problem. No need to go down one tooth. I 've heard gone one tooth up for easy traveling but never down.

Mine smoothed out with the mod so it may help the jerkyness as well. Deff worth doing and if you garage complains about it you can get a new one for about £20 I think so it doesn't impact the warranty

Thats what i thought regarding the going a tooth on the front sprocket ?? hence i havent done it..

But im definatley going to mod the snorkel this weekend.. ( to be honest my dealer proberbly wont notice the mod anyway there that useless LOL )..

K&N filter and Iridium plug next... Then the big bucks on an a pair of End cans..

One thing you dont wont to do on the Peg i have found is fit an inferior video camcorder device.. it vibrates tooo much LOL esspecially when you open her up a bit...

I have placed the mini dv recorder now inside my helmet, so no more viby vids LOL...

I will let you know how she performs with the K&N and plug fitted once theyve arrived and fitted..
MTC Exhausts have qouted me £260 for a pair of new stainless oval end cans
I have used MTC before ( based in Burscough Ind Est near Ormskirk ) and there end cans are excellant for the price also come with removeable baffles... LOL but i thinkon the peg it would be too loud with no baffles in.

Its that small and well hidden inside the helmet, theyde have to have had a tip off from someone or actually look hard to find it ( just the lense showing through the cheek padding LOL )..
This saturday im going to do the snorkel mod..
One thing i do know, these standard pirelli diablos arent very good in the wet, take ages to warm up and feel confident with around bends etc.... Road pilot2s next or conti attacks
