I did the snorkel mod last weekend. Can't say I notice much difference.
Previously have fitted a K&N filter, and bike shop adjusted the C0 setting to make it run richer.
Do I need to play with the C0 settings again?

done this to mine this afternoon, see if it has an effect tomorrow, will report back.
Cheers Mark.
how does this work? whats the benefit? and if it was a problem why didnt aprilia address it when designing the bike?
I guess a lot has to do with air pressure and resonate frequencies down the throttle body. kind of vodoo stuff that only serious computer modelling can really investigate. cutting off the curly bit somehow helps out the 3.5 to 4k rpm stutters. The downside is if you should fill your airbox with water, it will suck it up and hydraulic your engine a little bit quicker. I think this is a rather remote possibility.
I would say that this is the only mod I have carried out on my bike that do a lot to cure the 3.5 to 4 wobblies. After quite a bit of plug chainging, i noticed no difference between iridum pulg and normal plug.
The snorkel is to reduce induction noise. I cut mine off and was rewarded with a noise induction roar. Hard to say if it made any difference to power, etc, but it would probably help the motor's breathing. I also tried iridium plugs: improved riding prior to installing a PowerCommander (they ignite low mixture fuel better), but with better fuelling with the PowerCommander, I found no difference. Just running the standard plug now and bike is fine.
