Advertised for $2500, which is about 1/3 of its market value. One unfortunate dent in the lower left front of the tank - noticeable, but not horrible. Still, you know what they say about something that seems too good to be true. So I PM the supposed owner using CL mail, and this is what I get...

I'm surprised she didn't ask for my banking information. This has to be total bullshit. She's a sad widow, using grammar like one of those Nigerian scam artists, who'll sell me a bike for far less than it's worth, and reimburse me for the round trip fuel costs? And I have 5 days of testing after purchase when I can return it for a refund through some eBay service? This doesn't pass the sniff test. Or do you think I'm being too cynical?

    Don't hold your breath.
Ha! Man I got literally the exact same CL scam back in June, word for word! Found a 2011 Forest River toy hauler on the Phoenix CL, email seller and I get this word for word. Says her name is Jennifer Mullins, husband just died two months ago, just moved to Duck Creek UT. I was in Vegas with my truck and told ďherĒ Iíll come take a look at it today with money in hand and she kept deflecting, saying she would rather use EBAY. I flagged the post and emailed ďherĒ back that she must be a f***ing moron scammer if someone is to believe an actual seller would want to use a money exchange service instead of just cold hard cash, let alone a money exchange service that doesnít even work in this situation for a sale unrelated to EBay.

    so
craigslist shoppers take note, this scam seems to be common.

Was Micha still looking for a $10k GS? This one is a little over, but looks very nicely modded and maintained... might be worth a look?

The best bet for serious buyers is to email me smith.dean.shelton(at)gmail(dot)com so I donít overlook your post here.
Located in Northern Virginia, USA. Never wrecked or down- clean title.
I know it is the wrong time of year to be selling, but I just donít ride on the street much these days. Hopefully someone will ride this thing like it was meant to be!
As the original owner, I know this bike has been well taken care of. It has been garage kept and only ridden for pleasure... (not a commuter). Rarely ridden in the rain, this motorcycle is very clean. So, on to the stats:
    15,000 miles
    ABS
    ESA equipped
    Factory installed GPS
    Heated grips
BMW aluminum cases keyed to ignition
Full Akrapovic full titanium exhaust (w/ db killer insert)
Remote control dual zone gear heater (will include liners and gloves)
    RKA case liners
    Kaoko throttle lock
    ADV Designs kickstand foot
    Mudsling rear fender insert
    Mudsling fender extender
    Wunderlich windshield lip
    Recent oil change
Final Drive oil changed at 12,000 miles
Conti Trail Attack tires are in great shape
Battery is about a year old
    Current VA inspection
    All records
    Owners manual
    Tool kit
    Oil filter tool
    Brake/ clutch reservoir tool
Asking $12,500 and I am somewhat flexible. Please feel free to ask questions here, the best bet for serious buyers is to email me smith.dean.shelton(at)gmail(dot)com so I donít overlook your post here.

i don't judge them for ability anymore. it's the rider. i followed a guy on a newer g wing one day, he rode that shit like it was on fire. still don't know who that guy was, but that huge bike was not a detriment.

Saw a video once of a guy on a Goldwing riding the Tail of the Dragon, scraping his footpegs on each corner, but smooth as butter. But isn't it pretty much always the rider and not the bike?

When I was younger I was afraid I'd die riding. Now that I'm old and falling apart, I'm afraid I won't.
