Craigslist/eBay Bikes of note!

This is a new thread to harness our collective OCD of shopping online for weird and bizarre things with two wheels. If you are like me at least once a week you type in your favorite searches in the eBay or many localities of craigslist.org looking for that oddball bike or car or whatever. Sometimes you find a real gem, something so odd or off the wall that it simple must be shared even though you have no intention of buying it or simply cannot afford to.

Or this gem of an Aprilia starter bike in San Antonio....the shop that owns it thinks it needs a engine job....I think it needs a new clutch diaphragm to stop the oil burning issues...who do you think is right?

It's a Suzuki RE5 with a 500cc Wankel rotary engine on it. There are a few others on there, but this is the best looking one I saw.

Ohhh, not that good at trolling eBay and Craigslist yet, so I rely on the kindness of strangers. PUHLEEEZE keep this thread going cuz I love to see the weird shit.. the supah charged magna was killer. If I can get Micah to work on the Priller, I may have to look further into it... *grin*

I'm a VJMC member, and several of the guys I hang with on Saturday nights ride those things to the meet. They were crap back then, and they're crap now. But they're collectible crap. Weight of a 750, power of a 450. Weird Harold looks is a plus... Check out Jay Leno's garage to see him riding his.

I wouldn't exactly call that posing, as he's got the real deal, and that's not really for Street Use. Basically you buy this kit that all competitors in the "348 Challenge" and you can run the series. Sort of an IROC thing. I like the fact that he's got his priorities right to invest proportionally heavy on toys.
