    15t sprocket

What is the benefit of fitting the front 15t sprocket?

Acceleration, and the ability to let out your clutch and not idle at 20mph.
    Among other things.

I fitted mine as 1st was way too tall, and it was stressing the drive train out. Unfortunately, I've only ridden from home to the dealers since, so I can;t really give an opinion.

The 16/40 gearing is much too tall for any metro area use. The 15t sprocket will make the bike much more pleasant to ride below 35 mph.

    Get it done asap.
I did mine and wished i had done it long ago.
Much better around town, no more having to dip the clutch and the acceleration is unbelievable ( absolutely insane )

I've still not had mine done. Planning on doing it when I hit 12000 miles and replace the lot. Does it eliminate the need to feather the clutch around tight corners? Also does it effect MPG at all?

Yes thats exactly what it does. Tight corners are going a lot easier with the 15t sprocket. It´s like you are riding another bike.

In the fact of the MPG I did not notice a big difference between the both sprockets.

I found going to 41t on the back aswell as 15t on the front made it even better...

Jonksey, it just so happens i have a nice hard anodised Renthal 41t rear sprocket, yours for £25 delivered if your interested ? (it's done approx 7-800 miles and is showing no signs of wear) pm me if your interested, cheers...

Will it affect the Speedo Reading if I change the front or rear sprocket?

No. The bike uses a wheel speed sensor, instead of using a transmission output shaft sensor like the Jap bikes. So, change the gearing all you want! No need to use a speedo healer.

Just do it, it will feel like a new bike, it makes a huge difference.
You really only need three things for bike maintenance
If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape
If it doesn't move and it should - WD40
...and if it falls off and you want to reattach it - Cable ties.
