I just dont know what to do

Having recently done my first 2 trackdays this month I find myself not wanting to go out to ride on the road. I only use my bike once or twice a month atm as I love it to much to take it out when the weathers crap but I do really miss riding it. Im contemplating just doing 1 maybe 2 trackdays a month and cancelling my road Insurance but I just dont know wether to sell my beloved Tuono and buy a trackbike or sell my road kit ( headlights tail unit etc) and turn my bike into a track bike, what would you do? Im a wagon driver and Ive already been banned once and find myself dreading whats gonna land on the doorstep for the 2 weeks after Ive been out.

Ive spent probably £1500-£2000 getting my Tuono how I want it and I know that if I sell it I wont get any of that money back and if I bought another bike I would probaly buy the same things for that as I have for my Tuono, should I just bite the bullet and do it or should I be sensible and flog it, I know my bike inside out and would expect it to be 100% realiable as Ive done all but 1500 miles of the 12000 its got on it.

If I did sell my road kit what could I reasonably expect to get for it?, this decision really is tearing me apart, I saved for 3 yrs to buy my Tuono and it guts me to even think of selling it as it really is my dream bike but I know that if I start doing regular trackdays then its inevitable at some point Im gonna come off it but I dont want to buy a 8 yr old trackbike to find half way round my next trackday thats its a dog and its on its last legs.

    Any advice?
    Thx

Why sell it and buy an old track bike? Cancel your rego etc, strip off the road stuff, throw on a set of clip ons - presto, you've got a pretty amazing track bike.

Just take the expensive plastics and lights off, keep them safe for when you want to put bike back on the road or sell it. Buy some crash bobbins and maybe some frame sliders and enjoy.

WEALTH WARNING: It is addictive and it can be expensive. After a season or two, you will tire of track days going round and round the same old in the rain, (or at least I did). If you are good enough you will go racing and spending loadsa wonga or going further afield = Spain is great.

If you gan down the "track only" use, i think you'll end up riding it a lot less than you do now, & without the facility to gan for a ride if the weather is kind because you'll have no insurance & tax on it.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
