    Philip Island date change.

During the telecast of the GP on 10, it was reported that Rossi has been at Dorna to change the race date back to March, wich would make it the opening round like the Super Bikes.

Wouldnt it be a blast if we had SBK and a week later Moto GP !!!!!

It could be a Moto Cycle Sport fortnight !

One reason stated for moving it from the October date is the weather. Yesterday was picture perfect, but I have been there and a) got washed out b) got so hot and dusty went in town to watch 2nd race on tv !!

    Here is tomorrow`s forcast.

    Forecast for Monday
A few showers mostly clearing during the evening. Local hail and thunder
clearing by tonight. Fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly wind, moderating
    this evening.

    Precis: Few showers.
    City: Max 15

Yeah, but even in March it can be dodgy!!

PI has a micro climate all of its own.

I for one would not like to see it moved. Having the Supers in March and GP in Oct means the season is bookended by 2 world class meets, and in consideration of all those that travel from interstate, it would mean that many of them would be less likely to attend both, as I know they currently do.

The 2001 Supers was washed out at the Island and changing dates in search of more predictable Melbourne weather defies logic.

That and the F1 GP is a season opener at about that time. The FIM wouldn't have so many events one after the other in the same location.

I think it would be a good draw card. I would book a couple of weeks hollidays to see both GP and WSK. But as it is now I have to choose wich one to see. I dont want to spend 2 lots of air travel.
