I searched and searched this morning and I can't find that thread where we were talking about good Ape motor oils you could buy at auto parts stores and Kmart and the like.
I'm putting my bike back together right now and just realized one of my mates used my motul yesterday (I guess--the twit). It's Sunday and I won't find any open shops that sell bike oil.
Any semi-syn oil input and POS?

Semi-syn is a waste of dough.
I used to use Rotella T, but it has gone up more than Mobil 1. At my walmart its $23.74 for 5 quarts.
Rule of thumb is to stay away from *Energy Conserving* oils

By definition energy conserving oils are at the low viscosity end of the range. You will not find the energy conserving label on any 20W-50, 15W-50 or 15W-40 oil. I don't think any 10W-40 oils have it either but it has been a while since I checked into this.
Oz, any recognizable brand name oil that you can find today in the proper weight and type should be just fine for topping up.
