    JB Weld On A Radiator

I thought that I'd wait until Monday for pics, but since I had the thing out already.....here they are.

Remember that the JB Weld was applied twice. Once while still installed in the bike and the other with it removed. I would recommend you remove the radiator before attempting this.

    Happy Welding Everybody!

God, I love that stuff. Both the Fuono's radiators' top mounting tabs have popped off and are now held on by JBW. Quick set up, easy to apply (sparingly, as they say) and not affected by the higher temps.

    Don't leave home without it.

    Thumbs up

As a broke college student, I had to do some "econo-welding" on my 82 Yami Vision 550 where a coolant line went into a housing. Pookied it up, and it held without leakage for 8 years (until I gave the bike away).

Here is how the one I sent to the shop looks....yes, they painted it and it looks very nice. They called it cute! CUTE!

Amazingly enough the mounting hole lines up perfectly with mount on the bike.

After JB Welding my radiator tabs back on, I now use zipties to connect the tabs to the bracket, rather than the stock bolts. A lot of racers use this trick, because the zipties will snap in a crash before the radiator tabs will break away.

So far, so good. The top tabs are there mainly for horizontal positioning, not vertical support, so I don't expect any further problems. I wish I had remembered to do this on my SV trackbike before I crashed it.
