Sport City250-08 Leo Vince installed today

I am new to the forum but not bikes in general. So as soon as I got my new SC250 I started looking around for a full exhaust for it. I have used a lot of Leo Vince products on various sportbikes and always liked them. So as soon as I found out they had a pipe for my bike I got it.

Today it came and I jumped on it and got in installed in a few minutes. Its very easy and took maybe 20 minutes with some of that getting the tools together. There are just two bolts on the head then one at the cansiter to head pipe connection and then three on the VERY heavy stock exhaust.

Then installing the new Leo was just as easy. With the 08 of course it is EFI so you have to install the O2 sensor into the bung on the head pipe and then bolt it up.

The big difference is of course weight. The Leo Vince weighs 9 lbs and the stocker was over 18lbs. The fit and finish of the Vince exhaust is great and it sounds nice too. Not too loud but deeper. Ill check mileage and see if that changes from the 71-75mpg I got on the first 2 tanks of mostly 2 up riding.

Overall I am very happy and I will try and post some photos later but they are on the Leo Vince site already they just dont list it for the 08 but it does fit.

Anyone else using one of these on their SC250?

Please, give us a full review after you've had some time to observe it.

Also, has anyone out there gotten a fuel injection remapping box to work on this model. I seem to recall some issues with Motosport's.

    LV Pipe

I been running the LV pipe for about a week now, with the silencer in it is a sweet setup. Backfiring on decel IMO no different than stock, just more noticable.

The sound is great, power is still well balanced. The reduced back pressure results in a favorable power shift ->top end. The reduced weight is a plus.

Take the silencer out, sounds cool, but acceleration suffers. Pipe is too wide open=big torque loss. I would worry about leaning out too much in this condition. I plan to get the scan tool down the road so I can see the affects real time.

    Tool is here...http://www.technoresearch.com/Produc...e_Features.htm

Overall a great product, highly recommended. One thing did piss me off...I had to finish reaming out the O2 bung before the sensor would fit , must have been built on a Friday afternoon!

I ordered to Power Booster from Motosport - I didn't work on SC250, they promised to test it on a local SC250 - but I've never heard from they again

Silencer? I dont know if I am running a sliencer or not. Is that part of the kit? Maybe I need to search my box again. Does anyone have a photo of the silencer so I can see if mine has it or not?

I too had to enlarge my o2 bung hole. I called Leo Vince and they knew about the issue of Bosch enlarging their sensor and they are going to address it.

Is there something wrong with the time stamps on this? Almost three years ago or is the forum just acting up?

If really three years then how about a long term report on the Leo Vance? After three years how has it held up and what are the impressions now?
